Exhibited at Du.al DK / Inkjet print, Pink neon lights, Video 12:41 min Sound by Jenny Gräf A Sci-fi generation portrait. Based on my family's photo album and the idea of a future where artificial intelligence will become an extension to our consciousness, a new video installation has taken shape. The Installation loops on the subject of reincarnation, which in the future will be possible by scanning and uploading the human brain. The idea that when a person dies, he or she may be reincarnated in an A.I. (Artificially intelligent) program and become immortal, is played out again and again on psychedelic Web sites- enticing advertising banners with text like Simply the best & live forever, reassures the potential client that: "Your soul is forgiven with your mind upload." My Mom was a Computer poses questions about what influences the fusion of human consciousness and A.I. will have on a cosmic level.
